Jackie Andrews, TU '20, is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, researcher, and arts administrator. Often using their studio practice as a method of creating dialogue with their art historical interests and queer identity, Jackie’s work has been exhibited widely, including recent shows at Iridian/Artspace Gallery, Richmond, VA; Virginia Tech University Library, Blacksburg, VA; and Marshall University Library, Huntington, WV. Andrews co-founded Power Clash Art, an experimental publishing platform and was previously the Editor of Future Heirloom, NYC Jewelry Week’s blog. They’ve been a contributor to \"Making Progress: Resources for Social Justice in Craft\" and have written for \"Metalsmith\" magazine and other art and craft journals and publications. Jackie is currently a Staff Grant Writer at Benvenuti Arts Consulting and was previously a Grants & Development Associate at The Walters Art Museum, specializing in Institutional Giving. Jackie graduated from Towson University with a BFA in Sculpture and a minor in Art History in December 2020.

The New Music Ensemble at Towson University presents Matchstick Percussion. Founded by TU Alumni: Ben Hausman (’22), Corey Sittinger (’18), Malcolm Taylor (’21), and Zach Wilson (’20), the ensemble is dedicated to collaborating with and performing music by underrepresented composers. The concert features works by Val Jeanty, Juri Seo, and features Dr. Michelle Humphreys on Rich O’Meara’s Hands.

Ruin is a Philadelphia-based printmaker, shadow puppeteer, and paper-cut artist. His work oscillates between the poles of apocalyptic anxieties and utopian yearnings, with an emphasis on empathy, transcendence and obsessive detail. He frequently works collaboratively with musicians, theater performers, other artists and activist campaigns. In addition to performing widely, he is a founding member of the international Justseeds Artists' Cooperative, and co-author of the book Paths Toward Utopia: Graphic Explorations of Everyday Anarchism. His most recent project is the Ominous Cloud Ensemble, an ever-evolving, collectively-improvising large ensemble for projections and music.
