New Music Ensemble at TU presents
earspace
October 23
The New Music Ensemble at Towson University presents the contemporary performance ensemble earspace with an evening of chamber music along with their multi-day residency in the Department of Music. The program includes the world premieres of two new works written for the ensemble by Allen Anderson and TU faculty member Jordan Chase. The concert will also feature the world premiere of a new orchestration of the chamber symphony Dark Holler by David Kirkland Garner. Resonating with many of the members of earspace who hail from the southern US, this work is a stellar example of Garner’s deep connection to the history and musical practices of the American southeast.
