Lecture | Artist Gabriela Vainsencher
November 17
Vainsencher was born in Buenos Aires, raised in Tel Aviv, and currently lives in Montclair, NJ. For her, porcelain sculptures can’t be reduced to form, process, or concept separately— she combines matter, concept, abstraction, composition, and color. She has shown nationally and internationally, and had residencies at Yaddo, Triangle Arts Association, and La Chambre Blanche, among others. Vainsencher is the founder of the Morning Drawing Residency. She received her MFA from Hunter College.
