Photography is the foundation of Gina Osterloh’s interdisciplinary and multi-medium art practice. Osterloh's photography, video, performance art, and text works activate photographic conditions including replica, representation, flatness and volume, presence and absence, illusion and the Real, desire and repulsion. Osterloh has had recent solo exhibitions at the Columbus Art Museum and MOCA Detroit. She is the recipient of a 2024 Guggenheim Fellowship. Osterloh received her BA from DePaul University and her MFA from the University of California, Irvine. Her work is represented by Silverlens (Manila, Philippines and New York) and Higher Pictures (New York) Osterloh’s work is featured in Spatial Affinities.
