Lecture | Artist and Curator Jackie Milad
May 2
Jakie Milad is a Baltimore based artist, curator, and educator whose mixed-media abstract drawings and collages address the layers, history, and complexities surrounding multi-ethnic identity. Her practice explores symbolism and abstraction, creating a unique world by blending what appears to be disparate imagery and language from her Egyptian-Honduran immigrant upbringing. Milad received her BFA from Tufts University, and her MFA from Towson University. This lecture opens the Towson University Senior Show.
Enjoy the exhibition Senior Show and a reception following lecture.
